Julia Ahlfeldt CCXP | Personal branding

The Brief:

Julia Ahlfeldt, a Certified Customer Experience Professional (CCXP) approached Cultivate in late 2016 to help refine her brand, message and media portfolio. As one of a handful of CCXPs in the country, the timing was opportune to raise Julia’s profile and talk to high-level issues that affect business performance, competitiveness and sustainability.

Our Approach:

We worked closely with Julia to help her craft her value proposition as well as build her image and brand. This included directing a corporate photo shoot and assisting with her website’s development and copy. We also secured her a keynote address at the ITWeb Business Intelligence Summit and, her increased exposure, also led to her being invited to participate at the 2016 Seamless Africa conference. From an exposure point of view, we created topical thought leadership pieces that provided valuable insight and engaged relevant media with the content. Editorial exposure was repurposed on Julia’s Twitter page and Linked-In as well as used as a portfolio on her new site.

Customer Experience (CX) is an increasingly important and relevant conversation that is being had among corporates, CEOs and creatives across South Africa. By collaborating closely with Julia at an opportune time, we were able to help her refine her value and message and promote her to key target audiences through credible third party channels as well as via her own networks.

I would highly recommend Cultivate Communications. Our collaboration resulted in a focused brand position and excellent media exposure that helped me put my solo CX advisory practice on the map. The Cultivate team did an exceptional job of listening to my needs and translating these into a customised strategic PR plan. Their combination of guidance, counsel and follow-up throughout the process was second to none.
