Pentravel

Contrary to common belief, the travel agency is not dead. Leisure travel provider Pentravel approached us to help prove it by telling its inspiring success story through the business and trade media.

 

Our approach took into consideration the challenging environment that travel agents find themselves in, and – through the launch of its new retail ‘Sunshine’ stores – highlighted how important real-life relationships and expert travel advice are in an increasingly digital age.

 

We launched our campaign in May 2015 armed with a strong business case that included an editorial story, CEO profile, infographics, quality visuals and video tour of the new stores. In a few weeks over            R1,3 million 1:1 worth of free editorial in leading press and 1,5 million impressions was generated. This included a coveted 3-page spread in FinWeek and full page in Sake24 – both of which concurred that the travel agency is alive and kicking! The exposure caught the attention of industry peers who called the CEO to congratulate him on Pentravel’s business growth, while customers asked about holiday recommendations they’d read in the papers.
